Saving for an emergency fund, a trip, Hajj or Umrah, a wedding, a laptop or the holidays? Enter your goal and see exactly what to put aside each week or month. It runs in your browser. Nothing is saved or sent. It assumes plain saving with no interest or investment return, so the numbers are cautious.

How the calculation works
Remaining = target minus what you have saved. Monthly amount = remaining divided by the months to your deadline. Weekly amount = remaining divided by the weeks. If you enter your own monthly amount instead, the tool tells you the month you will reach the goal.
Tips to reach a savings goal
Pay yourself first: move the money the day you are paid, before you can spend it.
Give each goal a name and a number. Specific goals are easier to keep than "save more".
Build a starter emergency fund first, then work towards three to six months of essential costs.
Put windfalls, such as a refund or bonus, straight towards the goal.
Review monthly. If you fall behind, extend the deadline rather than quitting.
Keep savings in a safe, ordinary account. Avoid anything promising guaranteed high returns.
